A safe mountain bike
The bike should fit the rider and have working brakes, tires, wheels, chain, and shifting appropriate for local trails.
Plan with confidence
Families need a safe, practical setup—not premium equipment. This page brings the currently approved league fee, local team fee, free Try-It option, and starter gear guidance together in one place.

Current approved amounts
League and vendor pricing can change. Confirm final amounts during registration before paying.
The current $325 NJICL All-Access Pass covers the full student-athlete season, including national and New Jersey league registration, insurance for team practices and league events, the spring race series, and other NJ NICA programming described on the league's official cost page.
The $50 Veloraptors team fee is separate and supports local team needs. NJ NICA, NICA, payment providers, camps, apparel, travel, equipment, or other optional activities may have costs outside the local team fee. Always use the current registration instructions as the final source before paying.
A Veloraptors Try-It ride is free. Dates remain TBD until the team confirms an event and sufficient coaching coverage.
